In a unexpected collaboration that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of banned rituals and fearsome changes echo through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who finish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
